G2 Flamer of Tzeentch - Project Change XIV

Marauder Miniatures?! They're not Games Workshop. Well, back in the days Marauder was brand that Warhammer miniatures sculpted by Ali and Trish Morrison were distributed under. They were gradually subsumed back into Citadel in 1993 (according to Source of Legends), though these models are tabbed Marauder and 1995. Who knows. Actually, I'm fascinated to learn the reasons behind the split and subsequent reabsorption.
I recently discovered thanks to the Collecting Citadel Miniatures Group that Marauder also produced a pair of Greater Daemons - one for Khorne and one for Tzeentch. I'm rather excited, as there have been several Lords of Change knocking around eBay that I've dismissed as knock-offs. But no! They are official Games Workshop models. And ones I go rabid for as they're obscure and retro. If anyone out there's got a photo of the Khorne one, I'd love to see it.

Yo.
Discovered your blog a few weeks ago. Impressive stuff, loving the comics and your paint jobs.
Just had to comment on the flamer and what you have written about it.
First, isn't this model older than '95? Perhaps not, I might just be confused. :P
You said you got the 'chalky scheme from the '97 Realm of Chaos. As far as I am aware, there have only been two RoC-books, one released in '88 and '90. Details perhaps, but I'm just curious since I'm only aware of two RoC-books.
Keep up the awesome work!
Daniel

Thank you Daniel!
To address your points, there are four different body designs for this generation of Flamer, two with 1994 on their tabs and two with 1995. They were released in December 1994's White Dwarf 180 (see here). The earlier first generation one Flamers (like this one) have 88 on their tabs, perhaps you're muddling them up.
And yes, Realm of Chaos: Slaves to Darkness and Realm of Chaos: the Lost and the Damned are indeed 88 and 90. But Realm of Chaos was also the name of the boxed rules supplement released for 5th edition Warhammer. It was a big black meaty tome that featured all three main types of Chaos army: Warriors, Daemons and Beasts (but not Chaos Dwarves).
Ah, thanks for clearing that up. I guess I can't get it right every time when the models are almost as old as me!
