I think it works better in the long form. Ninjabread seems to run on a sort of rule-of-three basis, with the gags in the first two panels setting up the last one, and I don't think that kind of humour's too well-served by the five-day delay between the start of the setup and the punchline.
Of course, if it's getting you the extra traffic that you want, then this may be so much horse knackers.
