Getting older I like to think of as levelling up. With it having been my birthday weekend I thought perhaps I’ve now acquired enough experience points to unlock a new skill – standup comedy? So off I went and did an open mic slot in Manchester’s Comedy Store.
Anyway, that’s the great Doug Stanhope on stage there. The friend that accompanied me failed to get any photos, presumably as she was cringing too much at one-liners such as, “I’m addicted to hurting nuns. I really need to kick the habit”.
An exciting time was had by me and not the audience. Instead I’ll stick with the humour niche that Ninjabread’s been carving out. Enjoy this week’s strip.
